It is high time for the whole world to adapt to the electric vehicle culture on a per diem lifestyle. The battle between the 2021 Tesla Model Y and the 2021 Tesla Model X concludes this argument in a precise manner as both the electric vehicles have been manufactured by Tesla. The EVs are the new platform or let's say the future of the automobile industry. But with Tesla dominating that particular area of the market with the successful release of its 2021 year models, the Model X and Model Y, it is hard to tell which one to grab first. Don't agree with us?

Performance: 2021 Tesla Model X Vs Tesla Model Y

Well, the famous YouTuber Ben Sullins agrees with us just fine. He clarifies the comparison between the Tesla Model X and Tesla Model Y by giving unbiased feedback. His new video pretty much explains that the Tesla SUVs are best suited for the families, whether it's the smaller Model Y or the bigger Model X, both stand tall in their particular segments. He simply classified both the cars in a simple manner and put up a genuine verdict while comparing them on various parameters.

However, with their performance attributes, the Model X performed better than the Model Y. Comparing their initial pickup timings, where the Model X is precisely faster than the Model Y for the clear fact that it churns out 670 horsepower and also allows it to top-speed at 155 mph.

Interior and Cargo: 2021 Tesla Model X Vs Tesla Model Y

Adding to that, the Model X also provides a roomier cargo space that is 88 cubic feet of maximum cargo volume after folding down the second and third-row seats, which comes as an essential lookout for the families. On the other hand, the Model Y offers a maximum cargo capacity of 66 cubic feet, which is decent but not expandable as per Tesla’s announcement.

Though, he himself owned a Model X and makes it pretty clear why the 5-seater and 7-seater arrangements are better than the 6-seater configuration; making that choice clearly restricted to the fact that the middle seats do not fold down further disallowing to expand the cargo capacity to its maximum potential.

Having said that; where the 5-seater arrangement gives a better standard cargo capacity as a default, the 7-seater configuration also provides extra seating space for more passengers. In his feedback, he also acknowledges the third row of the Model Y while making it pretty clear that those seats are only good for either teenagers, little kids, or people with short height. He also appreciated Tesla for providing a pretty decent cargo area behind the Model Y’s third row, which by the way in the segment was considered quite impressive for an EV.

However, for tech and interior amenities, Sullins once again appreciated the Model X for its refreshed features than before. At the same time, he also appreciated the Model Y for the fact that it also offers a plethora of advanced tech and features for its 2021 model.

Pointing his attention towards the child safety support inside the Tesla Model X. But with the risk of its Falcon doors, which might come down on one of the kids and also might hurt them physically, he might skip it. At the end of the video, he clearly confirms with a certain tone that he won’t be buying the 2021 Model X. As a matter of fact, both he and his wife have had encounters of Falcon doors closing upon them, despite the fact they have installed the sensor for that, it still hurts.

Exterior: 2021 Tesla Model X Vs Tesla Model Y

But when it comes to exterior looks, he genuinely favors the Model Y, though its design has been majorly inspired by the Model 3 only he finds its design much more practical as well as stylish than the Model X.

And at the end, he concludes the argument between the two EVs by their price difference. Though the Model X is not very good with their child safety system due to their Falcon doors, he agrees on the fact that the price gap between the Model X and Model Y is plenty. And for the Long Range model prices, he doesn’t support that one should spend an extra $40,000 on the Model X. As Sullins prefers Model Y over the Model X, clearly stating that the Model X is figuratively overrated.
